Cultivation and Production

The Olive Tree cultivation.

The soils of the plantation have sandy clay and limestone. The soil is drained and the whole grounds have been deep plowed before planting. Important work is carried out at the Oil Mill (“Liotrivi”), owned by the family, where the olives processed at low temperature (cold pressed). The production process is where the olive grape is crushed and the oil is extracted. The phases of the procedure are: Reception, Crushers, Mixer, Separator.

Quality Control

With sole responsibility of Chemists and Biologists, the new generation of the Karaglanis family, analysis is performed for quality control during all stages of production, in accordance with EU Regulation 2568/91. The storage of the natural juice of the olives is done in stainless steel tanks suitable for food use. Olive Oil is stored in a space away from the effects of light and we keep the temperature below 25°C.
